The Reconstruction Steps

Step 1 of 6
After your mitigation company has finished and the affected areas are released for repairs, a repairs contractor visits your home, takes pictures, measurements, and notes, and creates a repair plan. We also review next steps, collect your deductible, and get your authorization.
Once the scope of work and budget are agreed on, repairs move forward until the home is put back together. If new problems are found, a supplement may be needed. We close out with a final walkthrough to take care of any remaining items.
Reconstruction is not the same as mitigation. Mitigation is the emergency dry-out phase, handled by a separate mitigation company before we begin. Reconstruction is the repair phase, and that is our work. Scope agreement, payment timing, and hidden damage can affect the schedule.
